Event organiser and owner of Southport Whisky Club, Victor Porter, said:
“We will have a fantastic collection of exhibitors at The Grand, with about 200 whiskies to sample between 1pm and 5pm.
“You will be able to discover whisky from Scotland, England, USA, India, Ireland, Denmark and more.

“It costs £35 for entry to the main festival, with that you will get a special glass and can try what you want.
“On Saturday it kicks off at noon with a masterclass with Thompson Bro Masterclass at The Guest House.
“After the festival at The Grand, there will be an After Party at the Guest House from 6pm with live music from Raw Deal.
“Friday night will have a Blind Tasting of six whiskeys from 7.30pm at Remedy in Churchtown.
“There will also be a 35 year old ‘Don’t Mention The B Word’ teaspooned malt whisky £189, only 30 bottles available.

“We also have bottled a single cask of 11 year old Braeval PX Sherry as a festival exclusive, at £65.”
This is created by the Dornoch Distillery, which was founded by brothers Phil and Simon Thompson.
The distillery is focused on making single malt whisky using a mixture of traditional and modern methods.
On their bottles, it says: “Southport Whisky Club began in 2017 and now brings together whisky lovers from across the UK.
“Our Sandpiper Edition pays tribute to the coastal bird that watches over our shores and inspires the nickname ‘Sandgrounders’.”
