It’s another busy weekend ahead in Southport, with some great events coming up.
Here are some of the things you can enjoy this Saturday and Sunday (20th and 21st September 2025):
1 – Beer On The Pier

People are invited to enjoy the first ever ‘Beer On The Pier’ festival in Southport!
This exciting new Oktoberfest themed event is organised by Southport Hesketh Round Table and takes place on Saturday 20th September 2025.
It will be held at Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant on the Promenade and on the start of Southport Pier, which remains open.
Visitors will be able to savour a range of German beers through The Wigan Beer Company, plus tasty German bratwurst and crepes, while enjoying beautiful views overlooking the Marine Lake and Kings Gardens.
The day starts at 1pm and runs until 9pm with a real family atmosphere.
Proceeds from the event will go to Southport Hesketh Round Table.
Pre-booked tickets are available for £15 each which includes three pints of beer. Otherwise, pints of beer will be available for £6 per pint.

2 – Southport Heritage Open Days

People have been busy exploring Southport’s rich history and some of the town’s most fascinating landmarks through the Heritage Open Days Festival.
This popular annual event opened last Friday (12th September 2025) and continues until this Sunday (21st September 2025).
There are a number of tours and visits already available, including historic hotels, churches, theatres, parks, museums, and more.
Every September, thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture.
It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are free to explore.

3 – KC Artisan Market

The KC Artisan Market is set to make a return to Victoria Park in Southport on Saturday, 20th September 2025, and Sunday, September 21, 2025, in an exciting partnership with Liverpool Live, transforming the picturesque park into a vibrant celebration of local craftsmanship, culinary delights, and family-friendly entertainment.
Event organiser Kate Chu said: “We’ve learned a lot from the first show and are coming back even bigger and better, with over 50 artisan stalls brimming with unique handmade goods, a variety of hot food options, thrilling circus performers, live music, a DJ, face painting, and engaging kids’ activities for an unforgettable weekend experience.”
4 – Bedroom Farce

Southport Dramatic Club
12th September – 20th September 2025
Little Theatre, Hoghton Street, Southport
Four couples, three bedrooms, one night (and the next morning).
This pacy and well observed play by the acclaimed Ayckbourn stands the test of time. Malcolm and Kate are hosting a housewarming party and have invited several friends including Jan & Nick and Susannah & Trevor; this is somewhat complicated by the romantic history of Jan and Trevor – something his parents Delia and Ernest reflect on whilst preparing to go out for their anniversary dinner.
During the course of the evening, nothing quite goes to plan, bringing insecurities and emotions and emotions to the surface with moving and amusing consequences.

5 – Southport & Formby Cruise Show

6 – Jazz Sunday at The Bold

7 – Southport Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair

There are 70 stalls booked for the Southport Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair.

It takes place on Sunday 21st September 2025, 10am-2pm at Dunes Leisure Centre (Splash World), Esplanade, Southport PR8 1RR.
Admission is £1 (children free). Assistance dogs only.
