The new Wine & Words by Watson venue in Southport is glowing!
A combination of a bookshop, a wine bar and a coffee lounge, the stylish venue opened on Lord Street in August on the same weekend as Southport Flower Show.
With autumn approaching, owner James Watson has now added new lighting to give it a warm glow for visitors during evenings.
He said: “We love listening to our customers, and your feedback inspires us to keep evolving. So we’re excited to share that we’ve developed our look!
“As the evening sets in and the lights begin to glow, the space transforms into something truly special. The soft, warm tones create an ambience that’s perfect for a relaxed glass of wine, great conversation, and memorable nights.

“And this is just the beginning, there’s more to come as we’re continually developing to make your experience even better.
“Come see (and feel) the difference, because every detail matters when it comes to creating the perfect atmosphere.”
Wine & Words by Watson has been opened by former local teacher James Watson, in the two units next door to Connards Jewellers on the iconic tree lined boulevard.
The innovative new venture is the perfect place where people can sit back either inside or outside and watch the world go by as they enjoy a good book and a glass of wine or coffee.
The new business is the realisation of a dream by James Watson, who has been a popular figure at Norwood Primary School in Southport for the past 14 years before leaving at Easter.
