The first Connect. Grow. Move. event takes place in Southport this Saturday (26th July 2025).
People are invited to take part in a refreshing new way to build real relationships while getting out and moving with like-minded individuals.
This isn’t just a walk – it’s a chance to Level UP, connect meaningfully, and grow personally and professionally in a relaxed, supportive setting.
It starts at 9.30am at The Waterfront Hotel, Southport.

Lewis Nickson, one of the organisers, said: “This event is being brought to life by a small group of us who share a big belief in Southport and its people – myself, Lizzie from Southport’s Journey, Danny from Level UP Network, and Chloe from Real Minded Media, along with a few others who are getting involved as we grow.
“Together, we’ve created Connect. Move. Grow. – not just as another networking event, but as a movement.
“We want to see Southport thrive again – not just for business owners, but for everyone in our community. It’s about getting out, getting moving, and keeping a positive mindset… often without even realising you’re doing it. It’s about being part of something – especially for those who may not already feel part of something.
“We want to encourage conversations, build relationships, support each other, and strengthen local connections – in business and beyond.
“One of our small but meaningful goals is to support local cafés and independent businesses by stopping in as a group on our walks. Imagine what 20 or 30 people buying a brew from one local business each month could do.
“We’ve got some exciting ideas brewing for Southport – for its residents and its businesses – but for now, we’re focused on building momentum. And we’ll keep the big plans under wraps (for now ).
“What we can promise is this:
We’re not here to create another business-only networking group. We’re here to build a community – one that promotes wellbeing, connection, and collaboration, and supports local people and local businesses alike.”

Mid-walk stop to support the local, independent Roxy’s café on London Street.
