Wayfarers Arcade sponsored feature by Stand Up For Southport
Brand new The Junction at Wayfarers Arcade in Southport is now open!
It was a lovely official opening last night of the arcade’s newest venture, with entertainment provided by brilliant harpist Susan Lambert.
The Junction, in the former Multiyork unit, is the latest new addition to the Grade II Listed arcade on Lord Street, which has been welcoming generations of shoppers since 1898.
Yesterday evening also saw new later opening hours for the arcade, with the main entrance open until 8pm, with Pudding & Pie hosting an event and Design by Gavriela hosting a popular Sip & Sew gathering.

It’s brilliant to see this stunning arcade being enjoyed by more people both during the day and during the evening.
Yesterday daytime also saw people coming together to sew items and decorations ready for the Great Big Green Lunch being hosted by The Hearth in the arcade on Sunday 8th June 2025.
Southport BID recently presented an Innovation Award at the 2025 Your Southport Stars Awards for the imaginative way that new life is being breathed into the Victorian era landmark.

Dr Eric Lybeck from Wayfarers Arcade said:
“The Junction is a laid-back spot for you to meet with friends, enjoy a drink and some nibbles as well as delicious ice creams.
“Seating will flow out into the arcade itself, so you will be able to enjoy the warmer evenings under the incredible glass canopy.
“The Junction is a pop-up venue to ensure we’re catering to what folks want before we nail things down.

“We already have the excellent Pudding & Pie food outlet inside Wayfarers Arcade as well as The Engine Room on the first floor, and we want The Junction to provide a unique offering which complements them.
“Pudding & Pie has created a unique tapas menu.
“We offer inside and outside seating, with tables and chairs and deckchairs outside in the arcade.”

Other openings at Wayfarers Arcade in recent months include the Grant Searl and The Northerner Art Gallery; The Engine Room coffee shop and co-working space; Mills Interiors; Wayfarers Arts; the Museum of Buffoonery; art studio spaces for Ruthie Illustrations and Emmy Oranges; Nina’s Cigars; and Watchcraft.
