A team from United Legal Assistance in Southport is looking forward to chatting with people at the Southport College Jobs Fair this week.

Colleagues from the fast-growing firm, which moved into refurbished new offices last year, will be at Southport College from 10am until 1pm this Thursday, 10th October 2024.

The claims handling business was founded in Southport in 2014 and is now based in the former Southport Crown Post Office on Lord Street.

United Legal Assistance Operations Manager John Young said:

“We continue to recruit as we look for ambitious hard-working staff to join our vibrant and experienced team.

“The business continues to strive to provide stable, long term and rewarding jobs for staff.

“As the business does well, we continue to remain committed to ensuring that all staff are rewarded as the firm builds on positive momentum.”

United Legal Assistance has always prided itself on investing in recruiting people in the local area, as well as developing their skills and offering promotion opportunities where merited.

It includes supporting colleagues in taking the Level 3 Certificate in Insurance by the Chartered Insurance Institute, which is a core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the profession.

It is a further example of how much ULA invests in training and developing its colleagues and why the firm is a great place for people to work.

United Legal Assistance Claims Manager Carl Sutcliffe said:

“ULA is a positive and vibrant workplace where hard work and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.

“There are ample opportunities to develop and the management team gives people the autonomy to do that. Plus free breakfast on a Friday goes down well!”

United Legal Assistance Training Coordinator Eleanor O’Brien said:

“Since joining ULA five years ago with no office experience, the company has supported me in growing my skills, knowledge, and progression in the workplace.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without ULA; we are like one big family.”

United Legal Assistance Team Leader Danielle Roe said:

“United Legal is a fantastic place to work. I always feel supported and valued. It’s a great company to be part of.”

United Legal Assistance was founded by brothers Adam Hughes and Gavin Hughes in Southport in 2014. They are proud of their roots in the local community.

Colleagues at the firm can enjoy a range of benefits including quarterly bonuses, staff parties, private healthcare, paid-for professional qualifications, all on top of free coffee and breakfast on the business every Friday.

John Young said:

“Our view is that a happy team is able to give the best possible service.

“Southport as a town is a great place to live and work and helping people find good employment here is a big win for us.”

United Legal Assistance is a friendly, honest and professional team with over 30 years experience in the insurance and claims management industry.

The firm deals with over 150,000 legal policies and over 15,000 motor claims every year for over 300 insurance brokers across the UK.
