Pelorus Chauffeurs is owned by former Royal Navy Officer Michael Hughes.
Having overseen a multi-billion pound fleet of submarines for the Royal Navy, he now runs his current business with exactly the same precision, quality of service, integrity and attention to detail.
It’s why he named his firm ‘Pelorus’, after the nautical navigational instrument used on ships and submarines.
The company already has permanent employed chauffeurs and operates a number of vehicles including the premium Mercedes S Class and V Class executive vehicles as well as larger vehicles.
Pelorus provides contract work for several top North West firms and individuals, while also accepting work for private bookings for people looking for quality and reliability of service.
Michael established his venture in Liverpool after a career of almost 25 years in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
Pelorus Chauffeurs is a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, proudly supporting those who serve, or have served and their families.
Some, but not all, of the Pelorus team employed by Michael have enjoyed military careers, although it is not an essential quality to have.
