Visitors declared the 2022 Southport Food and Drink Festival a crowning glory of the Jubilee weekend, saying they are looking forward to next year’s event already!
The free, four-day festival was held at Victoria Park in Southport from Thursday, 2rd June to Sunday, 5th June 2022 and coincided with The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Visitors enjoyed sunny weather on Thursday and Saturday, with scattered showers on Sunday. The Friday festivities were cancelled due to torrential overnight rain, but the weather failed to dampen people’s enthusiasm as they tucked into street food stalls from around the world, artisan food producers, live entertainment, children’s activities, giant inflatables and more.

A Sefton Council Tourism spokesperson said: “2022 Southport Food and Drink Festival…. DONE!
“Thank you to you all for coming, enjoying and supporting. It means the world.
“The weather was against us on one day and cancelling is not a decision we take lightly, especially when so much hard work has been done to make the festival happen.
