Ainsdale Police Station has been put up for sale with Eddisons, for an undisclosed price. The price is available on application.
The decision to close Ainsdale Police Station, at 2-4 Segars Lane next to Ainsdale Roundabout, was made by Merseyside Police Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy in 2014 as part of an extensive cost-cutting drive.
The 3,051 sq ft building It is listed as a ‘development and redevelopment opportunity”, which would be “suitable for conversion or development to include residential, office, children’s day care nursery etc, subject to necessary consents”.
The purchaser will be required to commit to “an Anti Embarrassment Clause”, details of which are available upon request from Eddisons.
Eddisons said: “The property comprises of ground and first floors with ancillary garages and was built in approximately 1951. It is of traditional brick construction with a multi pitched tile clad roof and benefitting from double glazed windows throughout.
“Internally, the property is divided offering a mixture of offices, stores, toilets and kitchen facilities with predominantly painted plaster walls, suspended acoustic tile ceilings, painted plaster walls and solid floors with a carpet finish.
