Diplomats from around the world have offered their congratulations and well wishes ahead of the opening of the world’s first children’s charity embassy in Southport.
Alongside acceptances from senior diplomats and politicians for Alder Hey Children’s Charity Embassy’s inauguration on Tuesday, 1st June at family attraction Southport Pleasureland, the ‘world first’ initiative has seen a swell of support from foreign Honorary Consuls.
The Embassy was built by Southport Pleasureland to underpin its partnership with the charity and put the work it does at the heart of a place where so many happy family memories are made.
Merseyside-based consuls for Tunisia, Germany, Italy, Romania, Iceland, Denmark, San Marino and Finland have all formally recognised the new Embassy.

I know that the improvements at Pleasureland have been a real boost to the resort’s attractiveness and wish that your event and the association with Alder Hey will be very successful

Pleasureland CEO, Norman Wallis will share a platform with Alder Hey Children’s Charity CEO Fiona Ashcroft as the child-scale Embassy is declared open and the Embassy’s new flag, bearing the new crest, is raised by one of the charity’s child ambassadors.

The Embassy’s crest and flag features the charity’s friendly blue elephant motif paired trunk-to-trunk flanking the new Embassy shield.
