The RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch needs all the support they can get this year.
And local people are being encouraged people to support this local animal charity’s Christmas raffle.
Southport BID has thanked the many Southport businesses which have stepped up to offer some fantastic prizes to win including a Smart TV, luxury hampers, store and restaurant vouchers, Versace ladies gift sets and many more.
Cecilia Duff, one of the volunteers at the centre, is proud to look after her own rescue cat, Poppadum. She has worked hard to put together a great list of raffle prizes and is encouraging people to buy tickets.
She said: “I have put my heart and soul over the past few months into collecting these amazing raffle prizes with a lot of support from local businesses.”
People can buy raffle tickets by phoning Southport RSPCA on 01704 567624. Raffle tickets cost £1 each. The draw will take place at the RSPCA centre.
The RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch near Southport is temporarily closed for intake and rehoming.
The charity is completely reliant upon donations, legacies and monies raised through its RSPCA Charity Shop on Eastbank Street in Southport town centre, together with the public’s generous support of its locally-run fundraising events.
Its Animal Centre, located in New Cut Lane, on the Birkdale-Halsall border, covers Southport, Ormskirk and the surrounding areas as far south as Maghull.
The centre takes in, cares for, supports and helps rehabilitate needy animals whilst new homes are found for them.
