This will be the fourth annual fundraising event he has hosted, with this being by far the biggest yet.
The Las Vegas Casino Charity Night Party will be the first fundraising night with tickets available to members of the public, with tickets (£30) available via The Grand website: Las Vegas Charity Night – The Grand
4 – Ukrainian Day

Everyone is invited to enjoy the annual Ukrainian Day in Southport this February.
Visitors will be wowed by a vibrant display of Ukrainian art, food and culture with the superb Ukrainian choir; workshops; dumpling making; and a children’s art exhibition.
They will also be able to see the extremely moving ‘Where I Should Be’ exhibition which tells the story of Ukrainians who live in the UK, yet remain emotionally rooted in their homeland.
It features photography by Nina Karetska, who won the Sefton Diversity and Inclusion Awards at the 2025 Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards for her impressive determination to champion Ukrainian culture and bring together the Ukrainian community in the borough.
Ukrainian Day will take place on Saturday 21st February 2026, from 11am to 4pm at The Atkinson on Lord Street in Southport town centre.
It is a day dedicated to Ukrainian culture, community, and resilience, and an opportunity for people in Sefton to come together, learn, and connect.
The day will begin at 11am with a minute of silence, amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine.
It will be followed by a performance by a Ukrainian choir. This is a moment of reflection and remembrance, and also a symbol of unity and hope.
5 – Where I Should Be

While you’re at Ukrainian Day at The Atkinson in Southport,, don’t miss the chance to see the very moving ‘Where I Should Be’.
This exhibition tells the story of Ukrainians who live in the UK, yet remain emotionally rooted in their homeland.
The photographs do not show faces – only the spaces they now inhabit and the spaces they still carry within.
Photographer Nina Karetska invites you not only to see, but to feel: where does a person belong when their home no longer exists?

8 – The Christians

The Atkinson, Southport
Saturday 21 February 2026, 20:00 – 22:00
Renowned for an endless string of soulful yet socially aware hits (Forgotten Town, Ideal World, Born Again, Harvest for the World, What’s in a Word, Hooverville, Words, Father, The Bottle and many more) The Christians enjoyed huge acclaim in the late 80s and early 90s both in the UK and Europe. They often confused people with their band name, in fact just the brothers surname with absolutely no religious connotation!
Still headed by enigmatic lead singer Garry Christian (who very much deserves the Daily Mirror’s description of him as having ‘one of the finest voices in pop) who has only gained in vocal stature (and wit) over the years, the band are enjoying a revival currently touring successfully in the UK and Europe.
Currently embarking on a huge UK Tour playing their well known back catalogue and one or two favourites selected from newer albums. Catch them on tour and find out why Chris Evans said ‘it was the best gig I’ve ever been to’.

10 – The Girl On The Train – Southport Dramatic Club

Southport Little Theatre
All Aboard for Suspense! The Girl on the Train Comes to the Little Theatre
Join us for a thrilling ride of suspense and intrigue as the Southport Dramatic Club presents “The Girl on the Train” from February 13th to 21st, 2026. Based on the bestselling novel by Paula Hawkins, this gripping play will keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to unravel a complex web of secrets and lies.
“The Girl on the Train” tells the story of Rachel Watson, a woman struggling with her past who becomes entangled in a missing person investigation. From her vantage point on the train, Rachel observes the seemingly perfect lives of a couple in a nearby house. But when the woman disappears, Rachel’s observations become more than just a passing glimpse, and she finds herself drawn into a mystery that will challenge everything she thought she knew.
This production promises to bring the tension and suspense of the novel to life, immersing you in a world of unreliable narrators and hidden motives. Expect a captivating theatrical experience as you piece together the clues and try to determine who is telling the truth.
“The Girl on the Train” is a must-see for fans of psychological thrillers and anyone who enjoys a good mystery. Prepare to be captivated from beginning to end!
