The route has been revealed for this year’s Star Trekk Walk in Southport to raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice.
Online registration has now closed, but don’t worry, you can still take part in the popular annual 10k event, which takes place this Friday (9th May 2025).
The route is the same as last year.
Walkers start from Adventure Coast at 7.30pm then head along the coastal road; over the Marine Way Bridge and past Silcock’s Funland; down Nevill Street and along Lord Street; along Eastbank Street and Scarisbrick New Road; through Town Lane, past Queenscourt Hospice and Southport Hospital; down Southbank Road then left at Cemetery Road and Eastbourne Road; through Birkdale Village then up Weld Road towards The Fishermen’s Rest pub; along Rotten Row; and then finishing at Adventure Coast Southport.

A Queenscourt Hospice spokesperson said:
“Since Star Trekk began 19 years ago our wonderful trekkers have raised over £1 million.
“The evening starts at Adventure Coast Southport with a fun party atmosphere where you can enjoy the pre Trekk entertainment.
“The walk is a healthy, energising and fun event open to everyone, you can take part on your own, with family and friends, with your exercise class, with your work colleagues, with your school, the choice is yours….
“Many Trekkers walk in memory of a loved one or because Queenscourt has supported them personally, while others take part for a fun night out and to raise money for their local hospice.
“Whether you are a ‘brand new’ trekker or you have been trekking with us before we look forward to welcoming you for what promises to be a fun filled evening.”
All Trekkers will receive a t-shirt and a medal.
This year’s Star Trekk is kindly sponsored by: Specsavers; Slimming World; EFT Group; and Adventure Coast Southport.
