A yoga and wellness guru from Southport is hosting three yoga classes to help highly vulnerable women and their families from Afghanistan.
Paris Parle is inviting people to attend her three donations-based yoga classes, which will see 100% of proceeds going to the charity Future Brilliance.
The classes will take place on September 4th, 5th and 6th.
The classes will be: Deep Stretch, Slow Flow and Soothing Sleep. Donations can be anything from £1 upwards and each donation will allow for access to the chosen class via a Zoom link.
Paris led donation-based yoga classes back in the first lockdown to raise money for victims of domestic abuse.
She raised almost £2,000 and her online classes became a lifeline for a lot of people during the pandemic. So much so that she then worked to create an app (Paris Yoga App, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) which would house hundreds of hours of content, including yoga, ballet barre, meditations and podcasts.
The app is a one-stop wellness community, and on the 15th and 16th of August, Paris held her first in-person PYA retreat at Bliss Hotel in Southport, with another planned for November.
Paris also runs KHYA yoga studio on Alma Road in Birkdale and has been so affected by the news of what is happening in Afghanistan that she has made her studio a collection point for donations of clothing, toiletries and baby care items until Friday 3rd September, when she will be taking them to a shelter in Liverpool to distribute as needed.
