The Ykids Believe Awards

The Ykids charity in Sefton is inviting people to submit your nominations for the 2024 Believe Awards.

The Awards are open to young people aged 7-17 living across the Liverpool City Region.

You can submit your suggestions here: http://www.thebelieveawards.co.uk

Ykids founder Claire Morgans said: “Our theme this year is ‘History Makers’ and our awards are focussed on some of the key history makers in Liverpool’s history and the lasting impact they left on this city.

“Nominees are shortlisted to 10 young winners who will be invited to a spectacular event at the Titanic Hotel on the 21st June 2024 where they and their family will receive VIP treatment, an honoured award and the recognition they deserve. The closing date for nominations is 17th May 2024.

“The Believe Awards began its journey back in 2012, created and coordinated by Ykids, a youth and children’s charity. We wanted to challenge the commonly poor representation of young people in our region by celebrating hidden heroes, young people who are examples of resilience, selflessness, and the service of others.

“Through the Believe Awards we aim to raise the profile of incredible, brave and selfless children so that they are seen, valued and believed in. Children who, without any acclaim have put others before themselves and sought to make the world a better place,

“None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors, who join us in our passion for change.

“There are many ways you can get involved – Nominate a young person, sponsor a table, donate a prize or buy a ticket to the event.  All proceeds will go towards supporting vulnerable children and young people in our city region.

“Children and young people can be nominated by anyone, eg teachers, youth workers, parents, neighbours or by other children and all children nominated will receive a certificate www.thebelieveawards.co.uk/nominate

“If you would like to know more about Ykids or our literacy project, Kingsley and Co Steampunk Victorian Explorers Emporium please do get in touch –  www.ykids.co.uk / www.kingsleyandco.org

“We look forward to receiving your nominations.”
