This year’s Yabba Dabba Doo Ball has unveiled a series of incredible prizes with a Live Auction now open.
DDC Group Founder and Chairman, Jan Trevalyan, and philanthropist Lisa Marriott, are organising their 11th Ball at Hurlston Hall, sponsored by the DDC Group, in Scarisbrick, near Southport, this Saturday (4th October 2025).
Over the past decade, the couple have raised over £1.6 million for The Christie Charity, with £256,000 raised at last year’s event.

Over the years Jan and Lisa have proudly supported a variety of projects at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The Christie is the largest single-site cancer centre in Europe and the first in the UK to be accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre.
This year, fundraising efforts from Yabba 25: Glitz & Glamour are focused on two key initiatives:
- funding a Youth Support, Education, and Employment Mentor to help teenage and young adult patients navigate life during and after treatment
- contributing to The Christie Charity General Cancer Appeal, which supports vital work in research, cutting-edge equipment, and improved treatment facilities such as a new state of the art scanning centre.
The Yabba Dabba Doo Ball began at Jan and Lisa’s home before moving to Victoria Park in Southport and now to Hurlston Hall.
Yabba 25: Glitz & Glamour will welcome back Heather Small for a show-stopping performance along with an explosive fireworks in an display evening of glamour, fun, and unforgettable entertainment.
There are lots of ‘money can’t buy’ auction prizes and lots of items to be won in the raffle.

“The funds raised from this charity will do an incredible amount of good.
“We organised our first event at our home and raised £36,000 and the Yabba Dabba Doo Ball has grown bigger, better and more spectacular every year.
“We are delighted to be holding our Ball at Hurlston Hall this year. It is a fabulous venue, and we can’t thank them enough for the huge support they have given us.

“D’Vine Catering is once again providing the food, which is superb.
“We are really looking forward to this weekend, we’re sure our guests will be too!
“It’s going to be another spectacular Ball, while raising as much money as we can for a really important cause that makes such a positive difference to young people’s lives.
“Everyone will be able to enjoy an award-winning fireworks display from Blitz Fireworks.

“Heather Small from M People will be singing for us.
“There are some incredible auction prizes that people can bid for, and we have some great prizes in our raffle too.
“The Yabba Dabba Doo Ball sold out several weeks ago and is a sell-out every year.
“We’re very grateful to all our guests for coming to support us, and to everyone for their generosity for donating such impressive auction items and raffle prizes.
“The Ball has such a loyal following with many people coming back year after year. We have lots of people coming who have never missed one!

“There are people flying in from New York, some coming from Holland, others from Southport, Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire and across the North West.
“Our guests know that every penny they donate makes a real difference.
“The Christie is world renowned for what they do. Their knowledge and research spreads worldwide so supporting the work they do makes a difference to people locally, and also across the globe.”
