Ryan Lewis from Hidden Vines UK will be the main speaker at the Sandgrounders Business Club networking event this Thursday (14th November 2024).
The event at Southport Football Club, on Haig Avenue in Southport will see a ‘presentation with a difference’ from Ryan.
Those attending the gathering will be treated to a wine and cheese night, with wines from Ryan’s business for people to try.
He aims to encourage people to shop locally this Christmas.
Ryan said: “I want to support and help local businesses and private customers.
“After COVID Hidden Vines went from a small amount of private customers to over 2,000 now.
“We also supply hotels, restaurants and bars.
“At the event, I’ll talk about how you can get the same quality of wine, but at a smaller price than big supermarkets.”
A well-known wine expert, Ryan is flying back to Southport specially for the event. He was attending a huge wine festival in Italy last week.
In August Ryan attended his first Sandgrounders networking event, where people were able to hear about different wines and take part in wine tasting too.
“The best part of the job is meeting new people and bringing them together through wine.
“It’s a great industry. I grew up in it and had my first bar at 19.
“Hidden Vines celebrated its eighth birthday this month, it’s gone so fast!”
When asked about the business’s biggest achievement, Ryan explained how proud he is of working with the Italian Trade Industry in London.
He said: “I’m able to work with buyers, producers and it’s also benefited me with my wine knowledge.
“I’m also a brand ambassador for big wineries in Italy and the wines get to go to different companies in other parts of the world.”
This Thursday’s meeting is free to attend, where Ryan will be talking about his successful business and talking about wine.

Southport FC Commercial manager Darren Court will also give an update about the club.
Gatherings are held at Southport Football Club on Haig Avenue in Southport.
Doors open at 5 pm with open networking with a headline speaker and a community speaker starting from 6 pm.
Sandgrounders Business Club encourages individuals to meet, network, pitch and develop business. All are welcome.
