You could WIN the chance to have a tree outside your home or business lit up to the value of up to £700 – in a competition that will benefit an important local charity.

The prize is being offered by local lighting firm IllumiDex UK Ltd, which earned huge plaudits after creating the stunning ‘boulevard of light’ along Lord Street in Southport earlier this year with 300,000 lights strung along both sides of the mile-long boulevard.

The firm has also provided lighting at homes, businesses, colleges, retail parks and other locations. IllumiDex UK Ltd is currently working with clients to provide Christmas decorating services.

The firm has offered the generous prize to support the Community Link Foundation – a local charity with a difference. The CLF assists anyone in Southport and surrounding areas who needs financial support in a variety of ways.

All people have to do to be in with a chance of winning this superb prize is to sign up for the Southport Community Lottery, which is run by the Community Link Foundation, at any time during the months of September or October 2021.

Southport Community Lottery is a monthly prize draw that ensures the charity can continue to be able to support the most vulnerable in our community, at a cost of only £5 per month.

The kind-hearted individuals who are already members of Southport Community Lottery will also be automatically entered.

IllumiDex UK Ltd Director Steve Clayton said: “As a local company, we want to help to make a difference to people in our town and the surrounding areas.

“We are delighted to work alongside the Community Link Foundation to provide this prize, up to a value of £700, and to help raise awareness of the Southport Community Lottery and to encourage more people to join.

“Since the start of last year, more and more people have been making improvements to their homes, gardens and businesses to make them attractive and safe places for friends and family to visit.

“Installing decorative lighting is a great way of creating a beautiful environment for people to enjoy, especially at this time of year as the nights begin to draw in.

“Entering this competition couldn’t be easier – we look forward to meeting the lucky winner very soon.”

The draw will take place at the IllumiDex UK Ltd offices on Friday, 29th October.

If the project chosen by the winner costs more than £700, then IllumiDex will fund the first £700 worth of work, with the winner able to fund the difference for the completion of the work.

Community Link Foundation Director Enda Rylands said: “We are looking forward to making a very special draw for Southport Community Lottery this September or October.

“We want to create real awareness about the Lottery and the great impact it has on our local community.

“Anyone who signs up for Southport Community Lottery this September or October will be included in the draw to win this amazing prize which is being provided by IllumiDex UK Ltd.

“The prize is worth up to a value of £700 – this is an excellent one to win!
