Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to announce that Southport and Formby Health is sponsoring this year’s Star Trekk event for the second-year running, and are encouraging Hospice supporters around West Lancashire, Southport and Formby to come and join the Star Trekk sponsored walk.

Following the announcement of Queenscourt Hospice’s funding crisis, supporting events like Star Trekk can make a meaningful difference to the compassionate care which is provided by the Hospice.
A Southport and Formby Health spokesperson said:
“Having taken part in our first Star Trekk event last year and finding it such a special experience, we are honoured to take part again in memory of our much‑missed friend and colleague, Paul Ashby.
“A founder of the organisation and our Director of Finance and Communications, Paul dedicated his career to supporting local healthcare. In his final days, he was cared for with great kindness by Queenscourt Hospice, and with many colleagues taking part in the Queenscourt Hospice Star Trekk walk, this is our way of remembering Paul, saying thank you, and supporting the hospice’s invaluable work in our community.”

About Star Trekk
Star Trekk is Queenscourt Hospice’s popular 10k sponsored night walk, taking place on Friday 8th May 2026. Starting from Adventure Coast Southport, the event brings thousands of people together for a fun-filled evening while raising vital funds for local hospice care. Since its launch 20 years ago, Star Trekk has raised over £1 million in support of Queenscourt.
