Wholesale Flavours, a business based in Banks, has made an incredibly generous donation of £5,000 to Community Link Foundation

Wholesale Flavours, a business based in Banks, near Southport, has made an incredibly generous donation of £5,000 to Community Link Foundation.

The company, which distributes products to manufacturers and retailers in the vaping sector, had been looking for a charity to support for some time when they heard about Community Link Foundation and started to research the work that they do in Southport and the surrounding areas.

When they looked at the causes that CLF supports, the whole team at Wholesale Flavours decided that it was the charity they had been looking for.

They got in touch with chairman, Enda Rylands (pictured left), and offered to make the donation.

Mark Halsall, owner of Wholesale Flavours, said: “We had been looking for a charity to support for some time but needed to be sure it was the right one. After looking at the grants that Community Link Foundation gives out, it was apparent that they are doing great work in the area and we wanted to support them.

“It is really important to us all that the money that they raise, is used to support people who live locally, too. It’s good to know that the money we’ve donated will stay within the area and we’ll be able to see who is benefiting from the money.”

Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation, said: “We are very grateful to Wholesale Flavours for choosing Community Link Foundation to receive this incredible amount of money.

“The donation means that we will be able to help more people locally and make a positive difference to their lives. During the pandemic, some of our fundraising activity has had to stop so this will make a big difference.
