If you missed Armed Forces Day, make sure you catch these two exhibitions on display in the foyer before they close on Saturday 13 July.

Face-to-Face

This new exhibition of portraits depicts members of the Armed Forces community in the Southport area. It encompasses members of The Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, both regular and reserve, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and Ministry of Defence.

RAuxAF 100: The Story of 611 Squadron

On 9th October, 1924, King George V signed the Air Order-in Council establishing the Auxiliary Air Force. (now the Royal Auxiliary Air Force). This year, 2024, the Force celebrates its Centenary, and it is referred to as RAuxAF 100.

Celebrating 100 years of Southport Flower Show

Tickets for Southport Flower Show can be purchased over the counter at The Atkinson by visiting our Box Office, Shop or Library. Local residents with a PR8 / PR9 postcode can purchase tickets for £18, just bring proof of address with you. Full price tickets are £26. Visitors are in for a special treat this year, as the show celebrates its centenary year!
