Wayfarers Arcade in Southport is inciting families to come and enjoy a Children’s Heritage Book Hunt  and Creative Activity during May Half Term!

Children can take part at the arcade anytime between 9.30am and 3pm from Monday 26th May 2025 to Friday 30th May 2025.

A Wayfarers Arcade spokesperson said: “Bring the children along to The Wayfarers Arcade this half term for a hunt for children’s books hidden in the shop windows!

“Collect your book hunt forms from the Red Rum Horse Statue (don’t forget to bring a pen!) and enjoy hunting for all the different famous titles!

“Once you have completed your hunt return your forms to The Engine Room Coffee House upstairs where you can claim your prize and we are doing a free creative activity here!

“Design and colour your very own book cover!

“The design can be anything you like and will need a title too!

“Maybe the colours and architecture of the Wayfarers Arcade will inspire you!

“Once you have completed your design you can then enter into our competition judged by one of our members and children’s book illustrator Kara McHale!

“We have a wonderful prize for 2 different age categories… under 7’s and an over 7’s.

“The lucky winners will receive a prize kindly donated by our amazing member and local children’s book author, Carran Waterfield.

“will also have our Lego table all set up for those who would like to do some building!

“See you all next week!”
