Wayfarers Arcade in Southport is inviting people to enjoy a Community and Cohesion Fair organised by SACHA

Wayfarers Arcade in Southport is inviting people to enjoy a Community and Cohesion Fair this Saturday (30th August 2025). 

The event will take place at the arcade, on Lord Street in Southport town centre, between 1pm and 4pm. 

It is organised by the Southport African & Caribbean Heritage Association and funded by Sefton CVS. 

Admission is free, with all shops, cafes, art galleries and other businesses in Wayfarers also open. 

Organiser Gemma Collins said: “Join us for an exciting day of cultural celebration at the Community and Cohesion Fair!

“Experience the richness of African and Caribbean traditions with vibrant market stalls, delicious food, and engaging activities.”

From 1pm you can see Ronke Jane Hart, the founder of Cultureville, African fashion for the bold and brilliant along with Black Creative Trailblazers, platforming black creatives across the UK. 

From 2pm see Interstellar Global CIC, empowering communities through arts, media, and education. 

From 3pm enjoy Afro Dance Academy, a high-energy African dance performance bringing rhythm, culture, and pure vibes. 

Families  can enjoy Carnival Crown Making in The Engine Room on the first floor of Wayfarers Arcade between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. 

Perfect for all ages — bring your imagination and leave with a crown fit for a carnival.
