People are invited to follow a daytime of the Venetian Carnival at Wayfarers Arcade in Southport on Saturday with an evening of Live at the Engine Room Speakeasy.
The event will be headlined by the Cafe Society Jazz Band at the Engine Room, on the first floor of the arcade, between 7pm and 10.30pm.
A Wayfarers Arcade spokesperson said: “Following the revelry of the Venetian Carnevale at Wayfarers, the celebration continues at The Engine Room, as we transform our coffee house into a 1920s speakeasy for an unforgettable night of live jazz.
“The Cafe Society Jazz Band will set the mood, playing from 7pm until late, bringing the energy of Mardi Gras and the elegance of a vintage jazz club to the heart of Southport.
“We encourage Venetian carnival masks and evening wear, but dressing up is entirely optional—just bring your love for great music and good company.”
Entrance & Access:
Once the arcade closes, guests can enter via the speakeasy entrance on West Street.
Bar & Café Open:
Enjoy a selection of drinks and refreshments as you soak in the lively sounds of jazz in this unique setting.
