Waste recycling centres in Southport, Formby and Bootle will remain open throughout the November Covid lockdown.
But people are being asked to only visit if it’s essential.
Household Waste Recycling Centres in the region are run by Veolia, with Sefton sites at Foul Lane in Kew, Southport; Altcar Road, Formby; and Irlam Road in Bootle.
When the first Coronavirus lockdown came into force in March, the company shut all its sites across the region in order to “protect residents, staff at the sites, and the wider public” as the Government urged against non-essential journeys and undertaking non-essential activities.
This time however, despite new restrictions coming into force from this Thursday (5 November), the doors will remain open for people who need it.
A Veolia spokesperson said: “We currently have no plans to close any of the Merseyside and Halton Household Waste Recycling Centres, but please consider only making essential visits.
“If you do need to visit, remember that strict rules remain in place to safeguard visitors and staff.”
The opening times are: 8am-5pm.
