Vintage Home shop announces move from Birkdale to new home in Churchtown

Vintage Home has announced it is leaving its iconic home in Birkdale Village in Southport for a new venture in Churchtown.

The vintage homeware shop sells a variety of original items and brands inspired by their love of yesteryear.

Situated next to Birkdale Train Station, Vintage Home sells furniture, vintage clothing, jewellery and accessories and has a handmade gift shop providing an outlet for many local makers and artisans. It is also Merseyside’s only stockist of Annie Sloan Chalk paint and products.

Owners Andy and Jill said: “We have some exciting news we would like to share with you all!

“We always knew we would have to make a decision ready for when our shop lease ends this September.

“We’re at that awkward age of being too young to retire and too old to be bothered working hard so what next?

“With everything that has gone on over the last year or so we’ve had plenty of time to think, and we’ve decided it’s time to turn the page.

“We will be leaving Birkdale and downsizing to a new much smaller shop in Churchtown village from September.

“The new shop will concentrate mainly on antiques and vintage with just a few smaller furniture pieces.

“We hope that lots of you will continue to follow us on our journey, we are of course still here in Birkdale until the end of August so if you need any furniture etc….

“Anyway we are very much looking forward to the next chapter, let’s hope it’s as good as the last!”
