A five year old schoolgirl has revealed she wants to give all her toys to children in Ukraine as they suffer the terrors of the Russian invasion.
Julia Czakon, aged 5, drew this beautiful heart shaped picture with the colours of the Ukraine and Poland flags as she revealed her hopes to help those in need.
Now people in Southport are being asked to give what they can, to support people in Ukraine who are being affected by this devastating crisis.
Anyone keen to do what they can is being invited to contact Agata Czakon via Facebook or drop off items needed at the Lidl supermarket car park, on Virginia Street in Southport PR8 6RZ at 6.30pm this Thursday (3rd March).
Julia’s mother, Agata Czakon, is leading the appeal in Southport with her friend Anna Rz.
She said: “On Thursday there will be a collection to help Ukrainian people, anyone who can help, then please contact me or drop off the items at the Lidl car park in Southport at 6.30pm.
“We need: First Aid kits, blankets, bedding, clothes, clothes and other items for babies and children, shoes, utilities items, toys, etc. Thank you.
“The main founder of the collection is the Polonia in Merseyside. I decided to organise a collection in the Southport area.
“We cannot pass by indifferently to the situation as it is happening in Ukraine.

“Who knows – maybe one day we will be the ones asking for help..
“My country Poland very much supports Ukraine. I would also like some help, because I thought it was time to act.
“I believe that the community in Southport will help.
“Anyone can help – I can’t be indifferent – I just can’t.”
Agata’s five-year-old daughter, Julia, is also keen to help children suffering in Ukraine.
She has drawn this beautiful picture of a heart, with the colours of the Ukraine and the Poland flags.
Julia was born in Cornwall five years ago and has lived with her family in Southport for the past four years. She is a pupil at Holy Trinity Primary School in Southport.

Agata said: “Julia is very sad really about what is happening in Ukraine.
“She has got a very big heart. She told me it will be necessary to give her toys to children in Ukraine because she wants to make these poor children happy.
“Every day she is asking me if things in Ukraine are better.”
