The next Sefton Economic Forum & Marketplace is taking place this week with a fantastic line-up of speakers.
InvestSefton, Sefton Council’s business support service, will host the popular biannual event at The Lake House, Waterloo this Thursday (14th November 2024).
It is open to all Sefton businesses.
Taking place twice a year, the Sefton Economic Forum is a relaxed and informal event open to any business located in Sefton, of any size and from any sector.
It starts with Breakfast & Networking from 8.15am, presentations between 9am and 11am and then the Business Marketplace and Networking until 12.30pm.
Speakers include:
- Ken Clark from the Bank of England will be providing an informative economic update and taking questions from delegates.
- Professor Nicola Wilson, Programme Director, MerseyCare NHS Foundation Trust and Heather Jago, Strategic Commissioner for Regeneration at Sefton Council, will provide an update on the current and proposed development plans for Maghull Health Park.
- Julie Lawson, Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside, will talk about the King’s Award For Enterprise, and the application process for businesses who want to apply
- The Forum will be chaired by Joanne McIntyre, Managing Director and Clinical Lead at Promed Health and Derma, a Sefton based business.
There will be opportunities to network with other Sefton businesses and support providers from across the Liverpool City Region.

Over 120 representatives from Sefton business attended the previous Business Forum event.
