Wayfarers Arcade Southport paid partnership
The timetable has been set out for the official unveiling of the new Wayfarers Community Piano.
The baby grand piano has been donated to the arcade for the local community to pay by Claire Kelly, owner of Southport Piano Academy.
All are welcome to the event with VIP guests including Southport MP Patrick Hurley, Mayor of Sefton Cllr Jen Corcoran and Southport Town Crier Kevin Ruane MBE.
All are welcome to see the unveiling and to enjoy some live piano recitals after the piano was moved into the arcade yesterday.
Claire Kelly said: “Well that was a success thanks to Pete Halsall who are the specialist piano movers! What a treat people are in for tomorrow in Wayfarers Shopping Arcade!
!I played it and it sounds fabulous with the acoustics in the arcade! Really wonderful.
“Some of the people who own the shops and work in the arcade came and played it when they saw it was on site and said how superb the sound quality of the piano was! It’s a Yamaha.
“Oh and who knew that the chef in Wayfarers Tea rooms is a trained classical pianist!
“This is going to be such a gorgeous addition to the arcade. I hope to see lots of people there on Sunday
