Businesses both large and small provide fantastic support for Queenscourt Hospice, enabling the charity to continue caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses, when they need it the most.
The funds raised from Corporate Partnerships make a huge difference to overall income generation, as the charity receives less than one fifth of its funding from the NHS, and therefore rely on the generosity of our wider community to help Keep Queenscourt in Service.
There are a number of ways your business could support the hospice, for example:
- Promoting Queenscourt Lottery to your staff and customers
- Having Queenscourt as your Charity of The Year
- Encouraging staff to shop with Queenscourt (including via the online eBay store)
- Providing Queenscourt with suitable gifts-in-kind (eg time (volunteering), expertise or actual items for auctions and raffles)
- Sponsoring and / or attending Fundraising Events
Members of Gymophobics, the ladies-only gym in Southport, raised over £6,000 after making Queenscourt their Charity of the Year.
The team fundraised through a variety of ways including tombola, table sales, Star Trekk walks, a virtual cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End and a virtual tour of Europe.
Titan Mechanical, the UK’s leading Mechanical Services Contractor in the Water Treatment Industry is a family-run business based in Burscough which has supported Queenscourt over many years.
Through sponsorship it has helped to fund new dementia-friendly beds in Queenscourt’s In-Patient Unit and is kindly sponsoring Queenscourt’s 2023 Calendar, which will be available for sale in all of Queenscourt’s five high street shops, and via the charity’s online shop.
Businesses can also show their support for #teamqueenscourt by kindly displaying Queenscourt Lottery posters, having leaflets for customers to pick up, shouting about our Lottery on their social media, and mentioning Queenscourt Lottery to their employees via internal emails or newsletters.
There are 22 cash prizes to be won each week, with a top prize of £1,500, all from a £1 entry.
N.B. You have to be aged 18 or over to play. Full terms & conditions are available on Queenscourt’s website.

Kate Tipton-Thomas, Head of Income Generation and Communications at Queenscourt explains that becoming a Corporate Partner can also help your business’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Kate said:
“As well as supporting a great local cause, fundraising for Queenscourt can really add value to your business. Our Corporate Partners often report that fundraising as a team really increases engagement within the workplace and provides an excellent platform to communicate with key customers as well.
“Fundraising in the workplace really does benefit the whole business.”
