This Saturday, eleven courageous supporters of Queenscourt Hospice will take on an unforgettable challenge as they dive with sharks at the Blue Planet Aquarium to raise vital funds for local hospice care.
The brave group will enter the aquarium’s Caribbean Reef tank, coming face-to-face with incredible marine life including Sand Tiger Sharks, Lemon Sharks, and Nurse Sharks all while fundraising to support Queenscourt’s specialist palliative care for patients and their loved ones across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.

Each diver has their own reason for stepping into the tank, from diving in memory of loved ones to giving back in support of hospice care. Whatever their motivation, their courage and commitment will make a meaningful difference to local people.

Liz Hartley, Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt Hospice and one of the divers, said:
“I am incredibly proud of everyone taking part in tomorrow’s Shark Dive. Every one of our divers has their own personal reason for supporting Queenscourt, whether that’s in memory of someone special or simply to help ensure hospice care is there for local people who need it.
“We are truly grateful to every single supporter who has sponsored us and cheered us on. Taking part myself makes this challenge even more special, and I can’t wait to take the plunge alongside such an inspiring group of people.”
