Get Ready to FOOL Around in Southport! The wait is over!
The Fool is throwing open its doors and inviting you to join the party this weekend with events including secret launch night and a Fringe-style extravaganza.
The innovative arts venue in the heart of Southport will open at 30 West Street in Southport town centre in the venue previously occupied by The Firepit restaurant, and before that, The Warehouse restaurant.
The Fool is situated directly below Werksy, Southport’s first ever co-working office space.
The vibrant hub will bring together music, immersive theatre and dining experiences alongside a range of creative arts programs for all ages.
As a not-for-profit organisation, every penny earned through the Fool will be reinvested into nurturing the arts in Southport and developing new, innovative projects.
The Fool founder Clare Scott said: “First up, we’re hosting a Secret Launch Night on Friday, 15th November 2024, and it’s going to be a night to remember! This exclusive, invite-only bash is reserved for musicians and industry pros, featuring a sizzling line-up of performances by Gen and the Degenerates, Clockwork Gibbons, Hollowbody, and Carlos Grassot.

“Don’t worry; we haven’t forgotten about the rest of you! On Saturday, 16th November, we’re throwing a Fringe-style extravaganza, packed with a mix of live art, magic shows, live music, dance performances, and theatre excerpts from Ginificent and Tom Cain.
“To make it even more special, our bar area will be transformed into a busy marketplace, complete with stalls selling all sorts of fabulous goodies! Check out our lineup here and RSVP
“Doors open at 10.30am with the first act on stage at 11.30am with free entry.”
“But that’s not all! The Fool has a staggered launch planned, with several key dates to mark in your diary:
- Saturday, 23rd November 2024: The launch of our Box Office Cafe, featuring Crosby Coffee, come along and join in our coffee, cookie and cake-tasting extravaganza! Followed by our after light switch on with live music til late! (free entry)
- Saturday, 7th December 2024: The first phase of our kitchen opens, serving up delicious, responsibly sourced plant-based grub, and our very first afternoon tea & panto, The Christmas Wish!
- Saturday, 11th January 2024: Our Music School launches with a free taster day – come and get your creativity flowing and sign up for classes.
- Saturday, 7th February 2024: Our full kitchen launches, featuring a mouth-watering menu for our theatre/dining events and pre-show dining!

General opening times for The Fool Box Office Cafe will be Tuesday – Saturday from 9:30am – 4pm, and the main stage and bar will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, other days will be open for events only in the evening.
