The award-winning Bold Hotel in Southport town centre will be the place to be for families this Easter weekend as the new Cristal Palace event takes place .
Cristal Palace is a spectacular, free outdoor performance created by internationally acclaimed French theatre company Transe Express, set to transform Town Hall Gardens into a glistening open‑air ballroom 7.30pm to 9pm on Friday and Saturday (3rd and 4th April 2026).
The Bold, on Lord Street, is a firm favourite among families with its welcoming atmosphere and stunning outdoor terrace.
Last month The Bold was a winner at the prestigious Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, winning the Small Serviced Accommodation of the Year as well as Southport Hotel of the Year at the 2025 Your Southport Stars Awards.
They’re now looking forward to a busy weekend with lots for families to enjoy before the Cristal Palace event.

With lots happening at The Bold, there is lots to look forward to in Southport itself.
There are four major new events taking place this year including Cristal Palace (3rd-4th April 2026); Big Top Festival (2nd-3rd May 2026); and Books Alive! (24th-31st October 2026).
All events are taking place on Lord Street with The Bold the perfect place to be during these exciting weekends.
They add to the existing big events including Southport Flower Show, Southport Air Show, Southport Comedy Festival and others.
The Open golf championship at Royal Birkdale golf club in Southport will bring visitors from around the world to Southport this July.
