People are invited to take part in a Leanne Lucas New Year Yoga Fundraiser with Afternoon Tea this month.
The event will take place at The Bold on Lord Street in Southport on Sunday 12th January, 2025.
All money raised through the event will go towards supporting local yoga teacher Leanne Lucas on her continuing recovery, after she was among several adults and children severely injured in the tragedy at The Hart Space in Southport on 29th July last year.

The Yoga Fundraiser is being organised by Kate from Yoga With Kate.
She said: “You are warmly invited to join me for an afternoon of gentle yoga, deep relaxation, mini-soundbath and afternoon tea and cakes to raise money to support Leanne on her journey to recovery.
“We will spend the afternoon in the lovely function room at the Bold Hotel on Lord Street in Southport.
“When you book in, you’ll pay £8 to cover the hotel costs – the hotel has very generously waived the majority of its costs.
“You will then be invited to make a donation directly to Leanne’s Go Fund Me page, with a suggested donation of at least £40, but any donations greater than that are very gratefully received.”
The afternoon will comprise:
1.45pm – arrivals
2pm – 3.30pm – Welcome and gentle yoga
3.30pm – 4pm – afternoon tea and cake
4pm – 5pm – restorative yoga, yoga nidra, mini soundbath
Everyone is welcome – no experience is necessary.
Please bring your yoga mat, two pillows, two cushions, two blankets and anything else you need to be completely comfortable.
