Join us for a free Spotlight Talk about our colourful and vibrant poster Southport Water Carnival by Southport artist Albert Edward Halliwell.

Sofia is passionate about museums, art and culture and has recently delivered creative children’s sessions in Liverpool Library.

Sofia says, “My favourite part of the Atkinson Collection is the Local History Museum. As a qualified art historian, I firmly believe that art is one of the most vital aspects of human culture. Equally important to me, however, is fostering a love for the place where you live and a deep appreciation for its history. I am profoundly moved by the care invested in creating this museum and by the heartfelt pride the people of Southport take in their town.”
