Hungry diners will be treated to a delicious five course Caribbean Tasting Menu for just £40 this Friday (24th June 2022), thanks to an acclaimed Masterchef finalist.
The special event will be held at the Anelli Hotel & Amici Bar on Avondale Road in Southport town centre, with five delicious courses created by talented chef Jay Tinker. They include:
- Jamaican Vegetable Pattie, with Red Pepper Sauce
- Jerk Pork Belly with Jamaican Slaw
- Seabass with Mango Salsa and Avocado Sauce
- Rum Butter Chicken with Rice and Black Beans
- Pineapple Toffee Upside Down Cake with Coconut Cream

Jay Tinker made a huge impression on Masterchef judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace when he made it through to the last four of the competition ten years ago, in 2012, with some huge compliments along the way. .
“Jay has the most incredible magic touch with a piece of fish,” said John Torode. “It’s an amazing thing, it’s like he just passes his hand over it and honestly, it’s wonderful. I don’t know how he does it, but he’s brilliant.”
Fabrizio Anelli said: “Once a month, we are providing diners to enjoy a special Taster Evening with local chef Jay Tinker.
“We are running a different theme each month.
“We have organised special dining events with Jay before, which have been really successful.
“Last month we ran a Spanish Tasting Menu, which went really well.
“We are now looking forward to running a Caribbean night this Friday.
“Jay Tinket is a brilliant chef. His food is absolutely amazing, just incredible.
“For a reasonable price, we want people to be able to come and discover just how good the evening is and just how good his food is.”
It is a time of celebration for the Anelli Hotel & Amici Bar, which celebrated its first anniversary earlier this month.
Fabrizio said: “Our first year at the hotel and bar has gone really well. We have been really happy at how everything has been going.
“The bar, with its large patio area, is getting busier, people love sitting outside in the sunshine.
“We are really excited for the summer months.”
