Strictly Queenscourt dancer Michelle Foster has raised over £2,000 for Queenscourt Hospice through her successful Big Cricket Club Walk.
Earlier this month, Michelle, a cricket wife, player and mum to two under-11 players, organised the event on Sunday, 13th September 2026.
The event was organised ahead of Michelle taking part in the Strictly Queenscourt at The Prince Of Wales Hotel in Southport on 14th November 2026.
She also held a poster competition, which was won by Lana.
Horses Bear and Foxy from Tiny Treasures Equestrian were at The Rookery to wave off walkers at the start of their trek.
They joined Michelle as they paid a special visit to Queenscourt Hospice, where they were met by Fundraising Manager Liz Hartley, to share the final total.
Michelle Foster said:
“Wow look at that total we raised on the Big Cricket Walk fundraising – £2,144!
“I can’t stop smiling knowing that this money will help Queenscourt Hospice in some wonderful way.
“Our creative winner chosen by Queenscourt Hospice is Lana and here she is collecting her prize!
“What a star she is! Well done Lana, thank you to Bear and Foxy and Tiny Treasures Equestrian, and well done Southport.
“The Southport Trinity Cricket Club women’s team were a huge support on the day and to the fundraising.”

As part of her fundraising for Southport’s most glittering event Michelle, the Business Development Manager for Bear Roofing, organised a 19k walk which started at Southport Trinity Cricket Club, at The Rookery, on Roe Lane in Southport at 10.30am on Sunday, 13th September 2026
They then headed to: New Victoria Cricket Club at Crossens Recreational ground; Fleetwood Hesketh Cricket Club on Fylde Road in Marshside; and Southport & Birkdale Cricket Club on Trafalgar Road in Birkdale.
Local businesses including Churcher Estates in Southport town centre, Fore financial planning in Birkdale Village, The Imperial pub on Albert Road and The Woollen pig in Crossens offered support to walkers along the route.
The final stop saw everyone heading back to The Rookery for a well-earned drink and a sit down.
Adults were asked to donate £7, with children £3, babies free.
