The Southport Seaside 10k wil raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice

People are invited to take part in the Southport Seaside 10k this August to raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice.

The event will take place on Sunday 3th August 2025.

With just ten weeks to go, runners of all abilities can take on this flat, fast course along Marine Drive and along the promenade to finish in Princes Park.

Matt Wood, Co-founder of RunThrough Matt Wood said:

“This flat, fast course offers stunning coastal views and real PB potential, while also giving every runner the chance to support Queenscourt Hospice.

“We’ve worked hard to make race day safe, fun and memorable for everyone from first-timers to seasoned athletes.

“We’re delighted to bring the Southport Seaside 10k under new management.”

The 10 kilometre route starts just outside Adventure Coast Southport, then follows the seafront with spectacular views of Southport Pier.

The partially closed road circuit offers real personal best potential and remains accessible to beginners.

Chip timing, free race photos, a unique themed medal and post-race goodies are all included.

This year’s Charity Partner is Queenscourt Hospice

For over 30 years Queenscourt has delivered specialist palliative care across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby, supporting more than 2,000 patients and their families each year.

As an independent charity, it relies on community fundraising for over 81 percent of its funding to ensure free access to care at home, in care homes, in hospital or at the inpatient unit in Southport.

Queenscourt Hospice Community and Challenge Events Fundraiser Hayley Jones said: “Queenscourt Hospice is thrilled to be the official Charity of the Year for the Southport Seaside 10k.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate and raise vital funds to support the compassionate care we provide.

“We can’t wait to cheer on all the incredible runners who are making a difference for Queenscourt, and we’re proud to be part of such a wonderful local event for the first time.” Registration is still open Southport Seaside 10k August 2025.
