Southport photographer Matthew Rycraft has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the renowned London Print Competition, hosted by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).
Whilst in London Matthew, owner of Matthew Rycraft Photography & Rycraft Studios in Southport, also delivered his own Photography Masterclass to a room of fellow photographers.
The London Print Competition, known for its rigorous judging criteria and the high calibre of submissions it attracts, is a celebrated event within the photographic community.
Matthew said: “It’s a real honour to have another two images that judges felt were of exceptional quality, over recent years I have received a total of 19 awards.
“I entered just two images this year and both were awarded.”
Competitors from across the globe submit their best work, hoping to earn recognition among their peers and the esteemed panel of judges.
This year, Matthew’s submissions in the category of “Wedding Day – Couple Together” not only captivated the judges but also earned top honours, showcasing his exceptional skill in capturing the essence of his subjects.
Matthew, the force behind Matthew Rycraft Photography & Rycraft Studios has been a fixture in the Southport area for over 15 years, providing clients with memories that last a lifetime. Specialising in wedding photography, Matthew has a unique ability to capture the most poignant moments of a couple’s special day, combining technical prowess with a deeply personal touch. He said: “My true reward is seeing how happy and elated my couples are when I tell them the news. All of my winning images were on display at the London exhibition to inspire future photographers.”
