Organisers of the Mad Dog 10k run in Southport are proud to announce Alice’s WonderDance as the official charity partner for this year’s race.
Alice’s WonderDance was founded in memory of Alice da Silva Aguiar, whose life was tragically taken in a dreadful attack in Southport in 2024.
Inspired by Alice’s boundless love of dance and her joyful spirit, the foundation exists to carry forward her legacy by supporting young people’s access to dance and creative movement. Dance, the charity says, is more than just movement — it is freedom, creativity, connection, and joy — and the foundation works to remove barriers so that every child can explore these opportunities in a safe and empowering space.
Since its launch, Alice’s WonderDance has been working with families and community partners across the Liverpool City Region and beyond, helping provide access to dance classes, resources, and creative opportunities for children who might otherwise miss out.
Graham Smith, Race Director of the Mad Dog 10k, said:
“We are deeply honoured to support Alice’s WonderDance.
“Alice’s story and the charity’s work exemplify unity, positivity and community. Together, we hope to inspire runners and supporters to make every mile count for this incredible cause.”
