After an incredibly busy few weeks, Southport lighting firm illumiDex UK Ltd are now booked up for Christmas – and taking bookings for the new year.
The weeks leading up to Christmas and the new year are the busiest for the firm.
IllumiDex earned national acclaim earlier this year when they created the ‘boulevard of light’, with 300,000 lights along both sides of the mile-long Victorian shopping boulevard. The commission was made by Southport BID.
In recent weeks IllumiDex has installed: the glittering Christmas tree in Southport town centre; Christmas lighting and decorations in Southport town centre and in Formby; festive decorations at The Atkinson in Southport; decorations at Central 12 and Ocean Plaza retail parks in Southport; plus lighting and decorations at Southport Market.
The firm has also been busy creating lighting outside local businesses such as Peaky Blinders, Remedy, Ra Bar, the Masons Arms and others.
IllumiDex has also created beautiful lighting around trees and outside homes across the region.
Director Steve Clayton said: “We have been working flat out during October, November and December.
“This is our busiest time of year, but also our most rewarding.
“We have enjoyed some great reactions to our lighting and our Christrmas decorations, both by local businesses and by local residents.
“This week we have also been busy repairing some of the damage caused by Storm Arwen.
“We are getting lots of inquiries, but we are now fully booked up for the rest of this year.
“Orders are already coming in for January and February, and even for autumn next year – it pays to be organised.
“We are looking forward to enjoying a well-earned short break at Christmas before going back to lighting up people’s homes in the new year.”
