“When I got the phone call to let us know the good news I just thought ‘what?!’ I couldn’t believe it!
“It’s lovely to receive all these prizes from so many fabulous local businesses.”

Transforming their home has been a real labour of love for Lisa and Joe, who have three children and three grandchildren.
Improving properties is what they do best, and they have invested a huge amount of time, energy and patience into their own project.
Lisa said: “We moved in here in June 2021 and it was a huge project to take on.
“This house has been completely renovated.

“We have redone every wall; every floor; the outside area; everywhere!
“We have practically rebuilt our home.
“It has been difficult at times, but now we have our dream home, the effort feels completely worth it.

“Now it’s just a case of adding the finishing touches, and adding little bits here and there.
“We are really proud of what we’ve achieved and we absolutely love living here. “It really feels like our home now. We are enjoying it.”
In property, they say that ‘location, location, location’ is everything, and the family enjoy being in Southport.

Lisa said: “We love living in Southport! It is such a beautiful town, improving all the town, and with so many events for families to enjoy throughout the year.
“I moved to Southport 23 years ago and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
“I feel like I have lived here my whole life.

“One of the events we’re looking forward to this year is The 154th Open Golf Championship coming to Southport this summer.
