The popular Southport Food and Drink Festival returns to Victoria Park in Southport this weekend with three days of mouth-watering food, drink and entertainment!

What to expect:
People can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere filled with international street food, locally produced delicacies, artisan goods, refreshing beverages, and live music.
With free entry for all, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a memorable day out by the coast.
What’s new this year:
For the first time ever, the festival will include an Experience Marquee. This is a new area offering a range of exciting, ticketed sessions designed to take visitors’ festival experience to the next level.
Visitors will be able to enjoy expertly led wine and food pairings courtesy of One Foot in the Grapes, get hands-on with a bento cake decorating class with Cake Corner, or sample a range of craft brews in a tasting session with Neptune Brewery.
Whisky lovers can look forward to an exploration of fine spirits with the Southport Whisky Club. And fans of fiery flavours won’t want to miss the Buffalo Wings and Beer Tasting experience hosted by Just Wings.

Street food and drink and live entertainment:
Alongside the Experience Marquee, the wider festival site will be alive with the scent of sizzling street food and the sounds of live entertainment.
Dozens of stalls will offer cuisine from around the globe, while local artisans will showcase handmade produce, gifts and unique finds.
Refreshment stalls and bars will serve a wide variety of drinks from refreshing cocktails to locally brewed craft beers ensuring there’s something for every palate.
Around 30,000 visitors are expected to enjoy the festival with offerings from around 130 traders, producers and exhibitors from Southport and across the UK.
Visitors can expect foods from around the world – from Asia to the Caribbean, and Latino to UK favourites with dishes as diverse as pad Thai, pizza, venison burgers or even a giant Yorkshire pudding wrap. Sweet treats on offer include brownies, gourmet marshmallows, and Turkish Delight.
Community-based groups will also be at the festival. Hear from Sefton Community Learning Service, Charity Link and the West Lancashire Freemasons.
There will be plenty of coffee houses to pick up a satisfying latte, cappuccino, cup of tea, or hot chocolate.
Live bands and singer-songwriters will keep visitors entertained throughout the festival, with the line-up including everything from soul and swing to jazz and pop.
Child friendly:
There is also plenty to keep children entertained, with activities including inflatables, face painting and crafts.

“If you’re a returning foodie I don’t need to tell you that it’s a fantastic showcase of the creativity, quality and artistic spirit that defines our borough’s food and drink offer.
“If this is your first time, you will have picked a brilliant Festival to start with, especially with our exciting new features like the Experience Marquee. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.”
The festival is on daily 10am to 6pm and is free to enter.
