Southport Food and Drink Festival

Street traders are being sought to take part in the 2022 Southport Food and Drink Festival.

The bustling event, which is free to visitors, takes place at Victoria Park in Southport from Thursday, 2nd June 2022 to Sunday, 5th June 2022 – the same weekend as The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The attraction features food stalls with cuisines from around the world, a children’s tent, live music, and much more besides.

It is one of a number of large events organised each year by the Sefton Council Tourism team, with around 25,000 visitors expected to flock to Victoria Park for the Festival from around the North West.

Local businesses which have already signed up to take part include Pasta 51 Express, which recently opened a new venture inside Southport Market, and The Shake Factory, which opened on Hoghton Street in Southport town centre in June 2021.

A Visit Southport spokesperson said: “We are looking for Street Traders for the upcoming 2022 Southport Food and Drink Festival – 2nd to 5th June 2022 in Victoria Park.

“Over the 4 days we are expected to attract over 25,000 visitors.

“The festival has grown over the last 15 years and with FREE entrance it is hugely popular over the North West.

“If you are a street trader who specialises in Jacket Potatoes, Thai, Indian, Toasties or Sandwiches, Fish n’ Chips or Caribbean then please email tourism@sefton.gov.uk

Visit Southport described Southport Food and Drink Festival as “a foodies’ paradise with a little something for everyone to enjoy”.

Stimulate your senses and try food from different cultures – you can enjoy crepes, gourmet burgers, hot wings, churros, spiral potatoes, paella and curry from the street food stalls.

Tantalise the taste buds by sampling the different produce around the event – handmade cheeses, sausages, sweet and savoury pies, chutneys and pickles are just a few of the delights that can be taken home.

Traditional British food is celebrated throughout the street food and producers with homemade pies, chutneys, local sausages, hog roast, and ice cream from a local dairy.

Throughout the weekend the entertainment arena will host local bands and musicians, you can shade from the sunshine (hopefully!) and tuck into the amazing food and drink. A great event to spend time with family and friends.
