This year’s Southport Flower Show is about to achieve national recognition, with BBC Breakfast broadcasting live from Victoria Park.
TV viewers from across the UK will see Southport under the spotlight as the BBC Breakfast team presents what’s going on with a series of live features from 6am onwards this Friday (21st August 2026).
Southport Flower Show is the biggest independent flower show in the UK, attracting around 55,000 people to Southport across four days (20th-23rd August).
Visitors will enjoy spectacular show gardens, a stellar line-up of celebrity guests, top chefs in the Cookery theatre, family fun with the Children’s Trail, and much more.
Southport Flower Show, sponsored by Ramsay Health Care, is compered by Aria Gold Award winning presenter Kevin Duala, who has over 30 years of broadcasting experience and is a regular voice on BBC Radio Merseyside.
Merseyrail is offering £2 adult rail travel and £1 kids rail travel on each day of the Show.

“I don’t think we’ve ever enjoyed an opportunity like this before, certainly not in the years I have been involved with the Show, both as a General Manager and as a volunteer.
“It’s a great way of showing what a wonderful event the Southport Flower Show is and helping to attract families from all over the country to come and visit Southport, which will benefit not just us, but also local hotels, guest houses, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and others.
“Southport is a beautiful town, with so much to offer visitors.
“There is so much to look forward to this year. We have got some spectacular show gardens; we have got the new Lakeside Reset with holistic health and wellbeing, and a new chill out zone; we have got the LFC foundation coming with the Champions League Trophy; we have got lots of flowers, lots of plants; gardens galore; entertainment; celebrity guests; the Cookery Theatre; the Children’s Trail.

Months of preparation have been completed to reach this point, with planning already underway for Southport Flower Show 2027.
Alan Adams said: “It has taken a lot of hard work to get everything ready for the show.
“With the heatwaves we have experienced, the conditions have sometimes been very challenging, and the team have worked exceptionally well.
“The show gardens this year look incredible! They have a real wow factor for visitors.
“We have been fully booked for many weeks now for traders, for concessions, and the Southport Flower Show has been somewhere where everyone wants to be.
“We have been looking forward to welcoming the Lakeside Reset and the Buskers Corner, which are both brand new features this year.
“We have some very special celebrity guests coming with some excellent events and guest appearances to look forward to.
“Organising the UK’s largest independent flower show is a year-round commitment and would not be possible without our small but dedicated office and park team, whose professionalism and hard work ensure the continued success of both the show and Victoria Park.
“The support of our volunteers is equally invaluable.
“Every Flower Show takes many months of planning, and as we celebrate another successful event in 2026, we are already developing exciting new ideas and attractions for 2027.

Southport Flower Show is a registered charity. Any profit generated is reinvested into Victoria Park to pay for its maintenance all year round.
