Advance tickets for Southport Flower Show 2021 go on sale at 10am today (Thursday, August 20) – and we have three pairs of tickets you could win!
Stand Up For Southport has teamed up with Southport Flower Show to launch this great giveaway.
Today should have been the day when the 2020 Show opened. Sadly the event, which attracts thousands of visitors to Victoria Park Southport each year, has had to be postponed for the first time since the Second World War due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers are now looking forward to next year’s floral spectacular with 2021 Early Bird tickets going on sale at 10am today for next year. Anyone who buys a pair of Early Bird tickets during August could save £17.
Tickets are currently two for £35 until the end of August. Then they will go to £18.50 each until the end of December; then £21 until the day before the show. Tickets bought at the gate next year will be £26 each therefore, so visitors can enjoy a current saving of £17 off if buying two tickets before the end of August.
Premium packages will go on sale later in the year.
Children under 16 continue to be admitted free with paying adults at this family friendly event.
The Show takes place from Thursday, August 19 through until Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Southport Flower Show General Manager Alan Adams came into post earlier this year after spending over 15 years as a Southport Flower Show volunteer and three years as a Trustee Director.
He said: “It is such a strange feeling not to be preparing this year’s Show, especially my first few months in charge. This week normally provides the most exciting, challenging and fulfilling days of the year for me and everyone involved, culminating in putting on a show that we are all very proud of.
“We will return next August but we need your support – so spread the word, get your tickets and look forward to one of the best days out in the North West!”
Southport Flower Show is the largest independent flower show in the country. Renowned for its spectacular Show Gardens and Grand Floral Marquee, it also features the largest amateur growers and floral art competitions.
The theme for the 2021 Southport Flower Show is Life in Bloom which will focus on health and wellbeing, the benefits of flowers and gardening and the positive impact they make on daily life. The event will celebrate everyone appreciating the great outdoors, enjoying a healthy lifestyle and focusing on the challenges we face today such as climate change, depression, anxiety and much more.
There will be an abundance of entertainment such as themed arena displays, music, celebrity presentations and so much more.
The Food Festival has live cooking demonstrations in the cookery theatre and then head over to the gourmet producers to sample and buy products.
Shopping is also on offer at the show with over 350 trade exhibitors selling everything you could want for your home and garden.
The famous Show Gardens are one of the biggest features of the Southport Flower Show. Constructed by garden designers in less than two weeks the inspiration is based on the Show’s theme and exhibitors go head to head to impress RHS judges.
