Families are being invited to enjoy the Southport Community Day at Southport Football Club this Saturday (31st August 2024).
The Sandgrounders play Buxton at the Big Help Stadium with a 3pm kick off – with fans invited to pay what you can, either on the gate or online. Gates open at 1pm.
You can obtain tickets online HERE with a minimum of £1. Can’t make the game but want to show your support? A virtual ticket is available to buy HERE
All money raised will go towards the Southport FC Community Foundation to support projects in the local area.
The club will be promoting a #OneSouthport ethos as an opportunity to fundraise for the local community.
The match will also be in honour of the three young girls who were tragically killed and the children and adults who were stabbed and badly injured at The Hart Space in Southport on 29th July.
Southport Football Club wanted to reduce entry fees to allow as many people to attend as possible.
Supporters will be invited to take part in applause in memory of the three girls who died between the 7th and 9th minutes of the game.
Southport Fc started the season in fine form, winning their first two league games, but have since lost their last three.
They now have three big home games in a row starting with Buxton this Saturday and are keen for supporters to get right behind them to get back to winning ways.
That will be followed by home games against Farsley Celtic on Tuesday (3rd September 2024) and then Radcliffe next Saturday (7th September 2024).
