Southport FC return to home action this Saturday (14th January 2023) with a visit from high flying AFC Fylde.
The Sandgrounder’s last Home match was a 2-1 victory over Curzon Ashton on 2nd January, played in front of an impressive crowd of 1,345 spectators.
The game kicks off at 3pm and tickets are available HERE
Southport FC are currently 9th in the National League North table, just two points and two places below the play-off positions.
They could move into the play-offs with a victory against Fylde.
After a setback last Saturday with a first defeat in nine games, The Sandgrounders will be looking to bounce back but face a stiff test against an in-form AFC Fylde side.
Southport are yet to beat The Coasters in four attempts. It was an ill-tempered affair the last time the sides met at Haig Avenue with manager James Rowe seeing red and sent to the stands. He is no longer in the AFC Fylde hotseat with Adam Murray now in charge.
Manager Liam Watson will be without Keenan Quansah who picked up a red card at Peterborough Sports last Saturday and will serve the first of a two match ban but is hopeful of having Tyler Walton back after a bad illness that has sidelined him since before Christmas.
