This is the second time the Charity Match has taken place.
Last year people dug deep to raise an amazing £48,000 at the Charity Match and organisers are hoping the event attracts huge support this year too.
Volunteers from Southport Hesketh Round Table will be at the ground throughout the day, selling raffle tickets with a variety of top prizes to be won, donated by various local companies.
If you can’t make the match you can also donate via the Southport Hesketh Round Table GoFundMe page here: Fundraiser by Southport Hesketh Round Table : Helping the Southport Families After 29th July 2024 Attack
The Charity Match is once again bringing together familiar faces, new celebrities, and a fantastic day of football, all in support of an incredible cause.
Southport FC co-owner Kieran Malone said:
“Last year we hosted the Charity Football Match where we had celebrities including Still Ryan, James Nelson-Joyce, Jamie Webster, ex-Everton players, ex-Liverpool players, and a few other names as well.
“That all came together and we raised a lot of money for the families who were affected by the Southport attack.
“We only had four or five weeks to organise it but all the families thanked us for bringing everyone together and raising all the money for such a great cause.
“This year we’ve got even more celebrities, even more live music and it’s going to be a fantastic day.”
