Southport FC has become the first English football club to use the Scout Decision platform to support the quality of its recruitment.
The system is already used successfully by clubs in Brazil, Portugal and Northern Ireland.
A Southport FC spokesperson said: “We have today signed up to use the Scout Decision platform for the club, primarily focussed on scouting and recruitment but also aiding other areas of the football-section of the club.
“We are the first English club that will use this service, joining the current Northern Irish Premiership champions, Larne FC, and a number of Portuguese and Brazilian clubs.
“We are obviously delighted to be on-board and working with them.”

Southport FC Sporting Director Tammy Burgess said: “We are pleased to enter into this partnership with Scout Decision as we look to expand and develop every area of our football department.
“This means we have to give a strong focus to scouting and recruitment, and build out a strong and functioning network across the country.
“Scout Decision will help bring this together and allow myself, Jim and the management team to monitor and review the work done on a weekly basis by our scouts.
“Recruitment at every club is absolutely vital and this displays how seriously we take it.
“To be the first English club to use the platform shows our intent, and I am excited to see it working within the club”.
Southport FC Head of Football Operations & Assistant Manager Andy Burgess said: “I have used platforms similar to Scout Decision at various clubs and found them to be invaluable in order to create specific and tailored scouting reports, whilst giving everyone the ability to have everything necessary accessible to them.
“The platform allows easy creation of detailed player and team reports whilst significantly adding to our understanding and knowledge of players.
“As we look to increase our scouting coverage, Scout Decision will be central to its growth and further add to the professionalism of our club”.
